Would you like to buy a babydress and a babyhat?

As I mentionned to you before we have been working with some ladies in my town who have always knitted clothes for their children and grandchildren. They have lots of knowhow and experience that we don't want to loose. Apart from that, they are not as occupied as they used to, so.. we thought that building this project could be a way of making sure babies around the world could wear their beautiful models and at the same time young generations such as me and other could learn with them how to knit various items for babies and young children.

We have been promoting our brand "BABYBAG" on facebook and although this blog will approach a wide range of areas, this is the one that we would definetly like to promote.  

I will be interviewing some of them in due course so that you know what their motivations are to do this project at this time in Life. From my side I am enjoying a lot and I hope you will too! Buying one of their pieces will definetly contribute to their enthusiasm towards this project.

Just food!

I really do love cooking.. all sorts of food .. for all type of occasions! Baking bread to eat with a good cheese and a red portuguese wine from Alentejo or Douro regions followed by organic apples is enough for a great meal! You may wish to have some organic tomatos on the table to eat with the cheese... have a good meal!

Family walk..

Tomorrow I am having some friends for dinner so that the children can watch a football match on TV. I am cooking pizza for everyone as my kids just love it!

We and some other people have been knitting clothes for baby! We will be publishing some beautiful dresses and hats for the summer very soon... but in the meantime, would you like to buy one of our babybags? They are made by a 70 year old granny with natural wool or cotton (depending on what you prefer for your baby..) with lots of love.. just for your baby!

Dinner with friends

Tomorrow is Friday! I am sure many of you will be hosting a dinner for your friends. I am. I often think about the food I am going to cook, the table setting, music, flowers.. well about everything that will make everyone real confortable and happy! The books we love...

We love reading.. and we have some favourites depending on our mood, weather, time of the day or simply an author that you never get tired (such as Somerset Maugham or Alexandra Lucas Coelho).. Tinta da China is a portuguese publisher that apart from having beautiful books (I love their travel collection by Carlos Vaz Marques) most of the authors they publish are simply great (Paulo Varela Gomes or Pedro Mexia are amongst some of my favourits). Have a look at their books and let me know what you think!

Mothers day

What a great day! We often go for a walk in the country side before sunday lunch. The children love it and when we are back we cook either pizza or a juicy pasta. Today we decided to have a picnic so we cooked some potato scones, chicken pies, fresh vegetables (carrots, tomatos, etc), lots of fruit and lemonade and off we went outside..

It was a fantastic Mother's day which made me realise once again how much I love being a mum!

 My mother has always done our jumpers, wool dresses, caps, etc. she also taught us how to knit and sometimes we also do it for ourselves and our children. When all our children were born, they all had a babybag done in beautiful colours, comfortable and very trendy. I remember to walk in the street with Antonio and lots of people stopping asking where I had bought such a beautiful babyorder one or more just let us know on bag.
